I've gotten several requests for resources on tithing. Yes, I blogged it, the T word. Tithing should be a part of your ministries DNA just like purity, or prayer. You cannot disconnect faith and finances. If it is not in the rhythm of your teaching I encourage you to strike the down beat. I know there are hundreds of resources out there but I'm going to list a few that will get you started.
- The Bible - Seriously, just teach it. The saying of Jesus would be a great start. Jesus talks about possessions 15 times more than heaven.
- LO$T Message Kit - Another creative resource from Northpoint Ministries. Andy Stanley is a genius at taking the Bible and disarming people. You could start this series in conjunction with the fall series of TV Lost.
- Maximum Generosity - Old school, traditional but incredible information and statistics.
- Sermon Spice - Short videos that visual communicate the biblical principles. Type tithing in the search engine.
- Gerald Gillespie - A friend that heads up our Crown Ministry here at Mud Creek. Gerald is a great resource and is networked to give advice and support.
