Terry's EKG
1. To have a full understanding that lost people do not speak or understand spiritual or Biblical things like we do.
2. By learning how to communicate in such a way that it will make sense to them.
3. By making sure my actions match what I say I believe.
4. They would enjoy change and be very evagelistic at heart.
5. To rely on the Word of God to change lives, but change has to take place in order to reach others.
D-Team
1. Timing - The time when something happens.
2. Truth - A fact that has been verified.
3. Testimony - Something that serves as evidence.

Chris Guy's EKG
1. First I must grow in my relationship with the Lord. With a better relationship, I can hear God more clearly and be able to be more excited about Evangelism. Not saying that I am not excited now but the closer I get to Jesus the more I want to do His work.
2. Being more like Jesus makes it easier to encourage students to have the same attitude. With the ethusiasm that comes with a great relationship with Christ, brings a sense of modelship to the students. The want the attitude you have if it is positive and full of evangelism.
3. Like before a greater personal relationship with Christ is essential. We continue to strive towards Christ and with that the great commission becomes of more importance to us.
4. I would first present the love of Christ to the Crowd student. It is so easy to start barking advice when all he really needs is love. I would do my best to display Christs love for the students life. Sharing with the crowd student many different passages that deal with Christs love.
5. We should never change the message of Jesus Christ. He is the only way of Salvation. The scripture is plain as day on this. We must preach Jesus the same as the Bible teaches. The method is a little different. I believe we must meet the students needs where he needs them to be met. The famous saying, "You can't reach a ipod nation with a record player" is true. Students culture is changeing and we need to meet them in there culture with the same, awesome message of Jesus Christ.
D-Team
1. Culture-the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as excellent in arts, letters, manners, scholarly pursuits, etc.
2. embracement- to take or receive gladly or eagerly; accept willingly: to embrace an idea.
3. Evangelism- the preaching or promulgation of the gospel; the work of an evangelist.

I agree with you Terry we need to not use language that lost people do not understand
Bert I agree seperating the classes would be a great idea.

1. By leading by example and encouraging the youth
2. By living and showing the life that Christ wants us to live.
3. By evangelizing enough to we are doing it and not even realizing that we are doing it.
4. Try to understand them and build relationships with them to encourage them and show them Christ.
5. Never change or teach anything other than Christ is the way, but the presentation can be in a modern way.

D-team
#3. A youth group that loves each other and supports one another.
A youth group that is built on relationships and not on emotions.
A youth group that works together to minister to each other and meets each others needs.
A youth group that is not concerned so much with numbers as it is the relationships that are built with the Lord and each other.

comments:
I agree with Terry we have to be Transparent and real with the youth.
I agree with Chris we have to show the Love of Christ to the students.

1. By sharing with all those around me in the attitude God wants.
2. By demonstrating a committment to evangelism.
3. begining with family and church family
3. By getting to know them personaly being there for them.
4. that the good news the gospel is never changing, don't change the message , but can change the manner in which it is delivered.
D-Team
1. T or F does evangelistic youth ministry display a evangelistic attitude?
2. should youth be encouraged to find, develope, and use their spiritual gifts?
3. Should we challenge all our students?
Comments
Kerry, So true! Without teaching Christ and Christ alone we have no youth or any other ministry

Chris, Right on with out a growing relationship with Christ we can not help others.

1. To pray for a more compassionate heart for the lost. To go out and reach out to where the lost are and relate to their needs.
2.Preach, teach, witness.
3.Witness and teach others. Be an example.
4. Interact, develop a relationship, understand their views.
5. The message is the gospel but we can update the way we present it. No longer the 50's approach but the '09.
D-TEAM--#1
Testimony- Something that serves as evidence.
Evangelism- the preaching or promulgation of the gospel; the work of an evangelist.
embracement- to take or receive gladly or eagerly; accept willingly: to embrace an idea.
Kerry your D-Team answers are good.
Bert your questions are good.

1. Fellowship is people coming together in harmony.
2. Biblical fellowship is importantin the life of a new believer is that it encourges spiritual growth. It gets them involved in church life.
3. Be a Chrislike, Be a friend, and deleiver the Gospel.
4. Lucheons work. They open doors to feed people physical and spiritual needs.
5. Teach the Bible by all means, but don't spiritually abuse them
D-Team #4
1. Buid relationships
2. Work together to meet each other's needs
3. It'snot quanity but quality

1- By sharing my faith with more than words but with my life.

2- By trying to communicate what my life has that makes it different or wirth livinf through the way I live.

3- By making time to communicate with people who are not Christians in their environment.

4- By being up front and honest. Earn their trust by trusting them...Be real.

5- The message of Christ is unchanging but the methods for communicating the truth must change.
D-Team:
Visible- Exposed to view b (1): conspicuous (2): well-known .

Evangelism- The winning or revival of personal commitments to Christ.

Introduce- To lead or bring in especially for the first time.

Bert- Good answer on 3 getting to know the youth is the most important part of reaching them.

Chris Guy- Great answer on 3. If we are growing we will encourage growth around us.

1. By letting other see Jesus in my life through what I say, my hands, what I do, my feet, where I go, and my wallet, what I spend my money on.
2. By initiating a conversation with them and telling them Who is in charge of my present and future. Just talk about Jesus whereever I go, in restaurants, at school, at ballgames, at home, whereever.
3. I can ask Christ to bring me into contact everyday with someone who needs to hear about Him, and He will! If I listen to people talk, everyday I will see an open door to pray with someone or witness. If we're looking for an opportunity, God will give us a chance to share.
4. By sitting down and just talking about life with them. Be their friend and open up to them. Then look for that open door to share Christ.
5. We cannot compromise that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, and that we can only be saved through faith in Jesus alone and repentance. We can have fun events to get the youth to come and then present them with the uncompromising Gospel.
D-Team
1.What are some ways our youth could use their spiritual gifts evangelistically?
2.What is one way we can build a bridge between a crowd youth and Jesus as we preach the message?
3.How much time should a youth pastor expect to develop an evangelistic attitude in his youth group?
4.Will students be more apt to be evangelistic if they see their pastor living a very evangelistic lifestyle in front of them every day, even when they are playing and not having a Bible Study?

Chris G.
I like your comment on the necessity of us striving to be like Christ more everyday before we can communicate better. So true. The more I love Jesus, the more I want to talk about Him.
Terry, Good point that we need to remember that lost people don't understand or don't care about Jesus and we need to remember that they don't know the Bible when we engage them.

Daren, I like how you put it; that we should see how our life is realy different than others. Chris, I like your answers also.

Hey Mark, I am having trouble with 302 class notes. I keep coming up to the 301 class. Am i doing something wrong here? I have not had problems until this week.

1. Love students well love everybody, show need and necessity of evangelism in up to date ways. Show it as a challenge that is not only testing but fun.
2. Well show them Christ at work in you, and how He works, then just live like Him and people are naturally drawn.
3. By going where the lost are intentionally, and always striking up conversations about God.
4. No, they are just too far off the beaten path for which most spiritually mature Christians are on. I mean there's no effort or care. It's like Hell is just another hang out place.
5. Personally I like the method and the message. I mean most of the time sure things change, but I think nowdays more people are concerned about teaching the coolest or fastest way for evangelizing, when in turn it's actually just a lack of effort on their part is why they aren't sharing Christ. I bet 85% of the church never says a word about Christ outside of Church unless it's an expletive.
D-Team #3:
Positive challenging themes
Acceptance in the group
Creative Communication
Decision time

1-by being aware of the needs of the lost
2-by being open and willing to talk about my faith and experiences
3-by being a for-runner and practicing what i preach
4-by understanding there reason for being in the activity, and their beliefs
5-keep on preaching the Bible through new and exciting ways
D-team
1-evangelism-telling people about God
2-Activators-a person who helps break down barriers
3-relationship-the connection between two or more people
comments-
terry I agree youth can tell if your holding back or hiding something we must be transparent
I also belive what what says abut asking God to put people in our lives to witness to.

1) by constantly being prepared to share the Gospel.
2) show them your preparation by your everyday choices and actions.
3) by realizing that every where you go is an opportunity and a mission field.
4) by not only understanding what is keeping them from being more, but understand why it is keeping them there.
5) the truth of Jesus Christ has and never will change but times do. as times change people change, culture changes, and preference change. we must recognize these changes and fit the way we present the truth to be accepted.

D-team 1:
timing- when something happens at a particular time.
culture- how society views/handles/relates to and of itself
testimony- something that serves as a witness

Chris- # 3 i agree that the more we fall in love with Christ, the more His work becomes of greater importance to us.
Kerry- # 3 i like the fact that you say that evangelism should be nothing less than a daily practice that we have based on habit.

Tony's EKG
1. Preach it, teach it, but most of all live it.
1. By showing how much it excites me, and challenge those around me to get involved.
3. By being obedient to the scripture which relates to evangelism.
4. By understanding where a crowd kid is spiritually, and trying to know where they need to be to progress to the next stage.
5. The Gospel must always be presented as truth and we may not add nor take away from it. We must preach and teach it in its entirity. However we may present that truth in diffrent ways. Presenting the gospel on the level of the person you are evangelizing reguires diffrent methods.

D-Team
1. How would you describe the process of evangelism?
2. What are some themes that a youth leader might use to challenge students in evangelism?
3. What is the best witness that a youth leader can present to students?

response:
Darren I like your response to #4

Bone's personal ekg:
1.By teaching and living out the importance of evangelism.
2. Lead by example!
3. Showing personal concern for the souls of lost people in my life.
4. Spend time with them and get to know them in a setting outside the "church setting."
5. Implementing methods that will effectively communicate the message of the gospel of Jesus in a modern and revelent way.

Bone's D-team assignment
Applications for the church today:
1. Church leaders must lead the church to be evangelistic and emphasize evangelism's importance in being obedient to Christ's command.
2. Pastors and youth leaders need to lead by example in being evangelistic.
3. The church must be willing to spend time with the crowd people to understand them better and be more effective in evangelizing them.

Comments:
Curtis, I agree about showing love to people. When we geniunely show the love of Christ to others, they are more receptive to the gospel.

Matt, I believe praying for God to give us the opportunities results in people to be receptive.

I agree with you Terry students need to be able to have time for praise and prayer. Rathbone I agree showing personal concern will help show Christ's love through you

1. Fellowship to me is the opportunity for the church to gather together and give praises and thanks to God for what He has done for them, and a time to build each other up in christ.
2. Biblical fellowship is important in the life of the new believer because where else will they find a relationship with God where He meets with them on such a personal level. Also they need biblical fellowship for encouragement and growth from other believers.
3. First, meet with them at lunch or wherever best deemed comfortable and ask them about their new decision. Second, personally find yourself near them in times of encouragement, questions, and accountability training. Third, call them see them on occasion just for a brief reminder that you care about them.
4. Small groups. Whatever day especially in someone's house. So uplifting and encouraging and personal. Just let the new believer see that life in Christ doesn't have to be so uniform and almost robotic.
5. Because there's no reaction from the crowd. Christ allowed people to not only see Him lecture/work, but He allowed them to have a major part in it so they see that they also can be actively engaged in worship.
D-Team #3
needing and nuturing students will increase focus
fellowship is family ship
students are held accountable
students are encouraged
