8 God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus. 9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. 10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ's return. 11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.

Observations
- Paul had a passion for people because Jesus' compassion flowed through him
- Paul prayed for the people he loved
- Overflowing love & growth was his prayer
- His desire was for the people he loved to have the right perspective and live in purity
- How I live and the fruit I produce brings glory to God
Applications
- The closer I get to Jesus the more compassion I have for people
- I cannot express love in a better way than to pray
- Pray for people to be overwhelmed with God's love
- Ask God to reveal Himself to them and then to live through them
- The more I love and pray for people the more glory and praise God gets
Prayer
Father, my life cannot be full of joy unless my life is full of people. You are in the people business. As I sync my life with You I ask that Your compassion for people will flow through me. I ask that you overwhelm those close to me with Your love. Reveal to them Your plan and purpose and empower them to live in purity.
