I had the privilege this past Sunday to experience two homecomings. Yes, that meant two plates of fried chicken. Our first Breakout Sunday was a success (approx. 180 people) and provided more room at the 9 and 10:30am service. We celebrated 205 years of ministry and took up the largest Missions Offering in our history.
I left after the 10:30am offering to go preach at Warrior Mtn. Baptist church in Saluda, NC. My good bi-vocational, pastor friend, Brian Caudle, invited me to come preach their 76 year homecoming. Brain is a great pastor and is doing a good work in a very rural setting. The word bi-vocational sums up his heart and dedication to the Lord. Wow, I couldn’t imagine working another job plus doing ministry but this guy does it every day.
Do you know any bi-vocational ministers? If so, give them a word of encouragement today.
Below is a picture of Warrior Mtn. Baptist Church. Yes, I wore a tie and used the KJV.
