Programming is the track in which biblical principles run. Our goal is to communicate the life changing Gospel. It has been said that we put one foot in the text and one foot in our times and teach. The starting point has to be the text. It is the track that leads us to our destination. I want to mention some tips concerning programming.
Truth – The environment, songs, videos, graphics all should revolve around a central truth. Content changes lives not creativity. Leverage creativity to communicate truth.
Tone – What is the tone of the truth? A NT epistle might have a different tone than an OT narrative. Make sure your programming elements complement the tone. If not, you run the danger of having one element cannibalize the other.
Transitions – Think seamless… there should be no “dead time.”
